Diagnostic services of the center

•The diagnostic method with BACTEC technology: This technology contains an advanced incubator system with the ability to identify all types of slow and hard-growing bacteria, within 5 to max 14 days in even the samples that the patient has taken antibiotics, previously.

•The establishment of a Covid-19 laboratory in Mofid Children's Hospital by the Pediatrics’ Infectious Research Center, has been a great help in improving children's health since July 2019.  Since December 1401, it has got permission to perform the influenza detection test.

•Launching Multiplex Real-Time PCR for the simultaneous diagnosis of influenza and Covid-19 were so useful, especially in critically ill children who required transplantation and chemotherapy. It should be mentioned that most cases in the recent Influenza-like disease outbreak were diagnosed as influenza.
